What Is It

What is it?
Just Asking

What makes you crave more, when none is around?
What makes you crazy, when you hear it’s sound?
What makes you weary, after a long, hard day?
What makes you wonder, nothing more to say?

What makes you worry, keeping you in a state of fright?
What makes you angry, when you stay up all night?
What makes you question, what is right or wrong?
What makes you mellow, within that certain song?

What is it, that makes us who we are?
What is it, all born from near or far?
What is it, drawing us all together?
What is it, that storms all weather?

What is it, this question I ask?
What is it, a solitary task?
What is it, a query we do?
What is it, I’m asking you?

What Is It?
Just Asking
