What Is Hope

What's Hope?

Where There's Life There's Hope
That Was Taught to Me
But If There Is No Hope
What Is Life Meant to Be

Oh, There's Always Life
Unless of Course You Die
But While You Live and Breath
Without Hope There Seems No Reason to Try

Over the Years I've Had Lots of Hope
But it Slowly Choked and Died
I Gave it One Last Chance
But I Wish I Hadn't Tried

So Now I Have to Figure out
A Different Reason for Living
Hope Doesn't Spring Eternal
And I Have Nothing Left for Giving

Maybe Things Will Change
I Certainly Hope They Do
My Life Stands in Confusion
And I Don't like Wearing These Shoes
