What Is God
Today I Googled the question,
“What is God?”
I was provided a definition
and it seemed quite odd.
“The creator and ruler,
the supreme being.”
I thought the answers
would be somewhat freeing.
“A spirit worshiped,
having power over human fortune.”
All of these definitions,
just seem so foreign.
I should have removed “is”
“what God?” seemed more correct.
How can He be so worshiped?
Think of all He has wrecked.
He has brought fury to Earth
and destroyed our towns.
He has toppled our cities
and shaken our grounds.
Yet still people believe
that, “God is good!”
Maybe the original question,
isn’t meant to be understood....
