Slowly
Blackened
Creeping in the dark
Something that lies
It hides.

Asleep
Inside
It looms in shadows

That squeezes such life
From death
It grasps
With sinister hands
Something that thieves

Insatiable mouth
Of gore
It feeds
On the living soul
