What is cancer?
Something that hides
Eating away life
Slowly
Blackened
Creeping in the dark
Something that lies
It hides.

Something that seeps
Through one's own body
Asleep
Inside
It looms in shadows
Something that keeps
It seeps
What is cancer?
Something that steals
That squeezes such life
From death
It grasps
With sinister hands
Something that thieves
It steals
What is cancer?
Something that eats
Insatiable mouth
Of gore
It feeds
On the living soul
Something that hoards
It eats
