What If You Were Really Loved

What if in this heather field
you let yourself fall back, surrender, yield?
What if you were really loved?

What if when you're broken and blue
the one who loved you said, "you're going to get through"?
What if you were really loved?

What if you could hold your head high
and give no thought to any angry goodbye?
What if you were really loved?

What if you've all this cause to have cried
but you're walking on on a flowered hillside?
What if you were really loved?
