What If Today Were My Funeral

8 Dec 2019 12:23 PM

If today were my funeral and all who knew me came
What would you say how would you feel and would you be the same

I hope that my life was worth your time
I hope that I have a place in your heart as you all do in mine

I hope that you forgave my faults
And have washed the bad memories from your vaults

I hope that I've made you smile, laugh and think
And the memories of me be like a much wanted drink

I know I was bad and mean at times and a failure and a ghost
But I know that I also have loved you all and been there for some who needed me most

If you can not remember me in love and laughter
Then forget me for now and ever after

For I do not want more pain to cause
I do not want hurt to flow from my flaws

May your lives be blessed and filled with God love
And May I see you all again with our Father above.
