What If
What if, at the end of this poem,
Were all of the answers you have sought;
The solution to all your problems,
Providing clarity to all you’ve thought?
What if, in this poem’s very last verse,
Was wisdom so profound,
It simplified the universe?
What if, in the stanzas you find below,
Was information providing you
Everything you want to know?
What if, all of this were true? …
Then reading this poem no further,
Would be my advice to you.
Answers shouldn’t be handed us;
Wisdom so easily gained;
Riddles shouldn’t be solved,
Without some learning and some pain.
So search for your own answers;
Seek information from living life;
Let experience provide you wisdom,
Don’t rely on tales from some ole wives.
Now you’ve come to the end of this poem,
And no answers did you find,
But I hope that by reaching the end
You have a clearer mind.
