What If

what if you open your eyes
and your whole life
is merely a dream
an unheard scream

what if you look upon yourself
and your reflection
is just obscene
a censored scene

what if you feel the skies
and the stars
are imperfections
defective sections

what if you speak in lies
and the truth
is deception
a form of fiction

what if you had the choice
to drown forever
in illusion or
would you rather
face the fact?

An endless confusion
