WHAT I SEEK

I have my quill sharpened
My scrolls ready once again
I’m running this long writing race
Not to win, but to find my place

I seek to grow in every line
To learn & to stumble & to refine
To share & to lift & to do my part
To speak some truth from the heart.

It’s a long road & that I know
But with each step I slowly grow
And I’ve learned that not every race is won
Some are just meant to show who we’ve become
