What I Saw
What I Saw
I saw the glow in my little girl’s face
An impending birth she was quick to embrace
That no other feeling could ever replace
I saw the glow in my little girl’s face
I saw the love in her mother’s eyes
A motherly love that soars and flies
A look that no mother could ever disguise
I saw the love in her mother’s eyes
I felt the pride that lives in my heart
It had no beginning; it was there from the start
A pride that I know will never depart
I felt the pride of a father’s heart
The glow and the love and the pride all together
Will last and will last no matter the weather
