What I Have Overcome

You beat me down Then praised me up Destroyed my ego while filling my cup Left me cold in the pouring rain Pretended to identify with my pain This vicious cycle got old real fast You’re not my present and I have erased my past For I have grown, no longer a child That you can take advantage of or defile. Didn’t you know that ashes eventually blow away? Didn’t you know that the winter would become spring someday? I am now as sharp as those razor blades You used to demoralize and invade I am now a queen, my God my king And in his palace I am capable of mighty things In this land vindication he will bring. Thanks for sharing this. Meanwhile, may I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God bless you.
