What I Have

What I Have
I need to remember what I have is priceless
If I lost it, it’s something I’d surely miss
Without what I have my family would be grieving
Because without what I have, this earth I’d be leaving
Try to celebrate it every day is what I’m thinking
Enjoy the simple things like the stars winking
I love little stuff like eating apple pie
Ignore the bad things, like the earth gone awry
I’ve realized there’s much good in this world
Disaster after disaster, all the aid that unfurled
I’ve realized what I have, it is serenity
Something I’ve worked on, it came from within me
Serenity is a thing I’d never trade
It’s not a object, it’s something god made
What I have gives me peace of mind
Helps me cool down after the daily grind
Being by myself is finally okay
People understand when I say please go away
What I have is irreplaceable
What I have is unbelievable
Serenity is one of the most important things
Because of it my soul constantly sings
