What Have You Done To Me

You flavour my mind with beauty unmeasured
You made me feel love like it was new
You offer you neck so I may kiss the soft unscented flesh
You permit me to delve onto you eyes and drown
Yet I find I live still

I smell your aroma sweeter than sugar
I’m bewitched, enchanted, spellbound
I cannot move away from you
I have to touch you, kiss you, taste you

You have no mercy
You torment me
Tare me apart
And put me together in a way
That I am no longer, as I used to be.

I am your trophy
As is perfection, beauty, are slaves to your form
How could you be so cruel?
Nevertheless, I am happy

Awesome, Sidney. Love presents so many conflicting emotions and you have captured the confusion it creates so well in this poem. Love, Carolyn
