What Have I Done

Verse 1:
The kiss from temptation
And the sins that awaken
Are corrupting the innocence of youth
And taking over the knowledge of truth
New ideas are made so clear
Hiding the lies we hold so dear
Step by step losing sight
Of dangers made clear from the light

Chorus:
My God, My God!
What have I done
I can’t undo what I’ve become
When all these colors fade to gray
And I lose this light of day
I’m realizing it’s just a haze
I need to get out of these ways
My God, My God!
What have I done

Verse 2:
Remembering my failed hopes and dreams
Is even worse than what it seems
Always settling for less than the best
Has dragged me down to this mess
Hoping to have my slate wiped clean
Wishing this was all a dream

Chorus:
My God, My God!
What have I done
I can’t undo what I’ve become
When all these colors fade to gray
And I lose this light of day
I’m realizing it’s just a haze
I need to get out of these ways
My God, My God!
What have I done

Verse 3:
I thank you everyday
For showing me the way
In order to show your grace
You offered to take my place
No longer am I afraid of death
I will follow you till my last breath

Chorus:
My God, My God!
What have I done
I can’t undo what I’ve become
When all these colors fade to gray
And I lose this light of day
I’m realizing it’s just a haze
I need to get out of these ways
My God, My God!
What have I done

You follow religion so closely and I can't wrap my head around it but its nice to see someone write about it in the ways you do.
