What Has Been Done to Our Country

What has been done to our Country —
Whose flag once whispered — Peace —
Now tattered by her Children’s hands —
Her trust — a torn release —

The Meadows know no Enemy —
The Sparrow does not choose —
Yet Men divide — the Sky itself —
And call the fragments — Truth —

What has become of Fellowship —
That bloomed — in Stranger’s eyes —
Now every Gaze — an Argument —
Each Word — a small disguise —

I wonder if the Lord looks down —
And weeps — as Rivers do —
That Hearts — like Stars — are scattered now —
And none recall — the Blue —
