What Happened To the World I Once Knew

What Happened to the World I Once Knew?

What happened to the world I once knew?
The one where people had respect,
And now that’s only a few,
What happened to the way life used to be?
When people used to love to read,
		And there was wholesome programming
		On TV,
What happened to the way life was
		Before computers came along,
People had time to listen to a song,
To talk with family and friends,
		To write a letter
		To knit a sweater,
What happened to the way things were?
Everything in today’s world is such a blur,
		Nothing truly makes any sense,
Everyone is put in past tense,
		You’re just another number,
		And people just get dumber!

Do you remember when TV commercials were limited to 3-minutes per half-hour? That is when people had time for each other! Aloha! Rico
