What Happened?

I tried to keep you close to me, But I suppose it was one step too far. Because now I'm sitting here, With tears in these blue eyes of mine. I'm trying to cogitate what made you stop, Was it something said? Was it something I did? I said I'd never go through this again, And now I'm here, standing alone. Feeling like this is my least breath. You left these chains around my neck.
