What Good Is Free Speech

Free speech has become a joke;
you rant and rave and roar,
for all the good it does;
no one listens any more.

One is allowed to express
whatever's on one's mind.
Those who need to hear you
are the ones you'll never find.

Politicians make the laws,
along with big business.
They just all ignore you
and they listen less and less.

You get up a petition
and millions sign for it.
And then guess what happens?
You had might as well just quit.
