What God Means To Me

So many words required for this subject
the world can't contain what I mean to say
for the focus is upon God and God alone
how do you adequately tell it in a day

God is indeed full of His great love and grace
this I've experienced through all my earthly days
where would I be today if God hadn't come in
to my life giving instruction to do what He says

But I have been a guilty sinner
then God in His mercy saved me
sending His only beloved dear son
to die in my place on Calvary's tree

In this, He adopted me as His own
justified me through His precious blood
pouring His grace and mercy on me
washing my stains like a crimson flood

I bow in worship to God eternal
who has loved me to the uttermost
what a friend He has been to me
in Jesus alone, I would only boast
