What Experience Tells Me
Experience has taught me, many things,
From my many flings,
That a coalface legitimacy brings.
Experience has taught me, starting at the top,
Increases the chances for you to flop,
A life lived non-stop,
Will end in something going pop.
Experience has taught me that there is no substitute,
For for picking fruit,
As standing around looking cute,
Is not likely to bring you much loot.
Experience has taught me, education alone,
Your skills will not hone,
And could leave you with just a bone,
Unless you are good on the phone.
Experience has taught me, building relationships,
Is more important than building fast ships,
Or using money to buy friendships.
Experience has taught me, we all fail at something,
And to keep trying is the thing,
If happiness to your life you want to bring.
