What Dreams Are Made Of

Fears and tears and fantasy
Things we feel but cannot see
Things we hope to someday do
Being in love with you-know-who

At everything we are the best
If you’re a man, then there must be sex
People we haven’t seen in years
In some we face our wildest fears

Some may be in black and white
They can come in shades of day or night
Some we are glad to wake up from
Others we wish were never done

Deep desires; insecurities
Our dreams are made up of all of these
But this you know and you know for sure
By falling asleep you will make some more

Joe, thank you for participating in my contest. I liked your simple down to earth take on dreams. your second line of the second stanza made me laugh. My husband says he doesn't dream, but if he did, I'm sure he'd agree with you. Congrats on your win! Love, Kim
