            What Do Poets Like              

          

    It's a fact~ to me, quite mysterious.
    I sit here penning many, to the point 
    of being delirious!

    It's such a  nonsensical thing to do!
    Just write about, what's magical and 
    true for you.

    You don't know the interests of others.
    For you know only you, unique as star, 
    with no matching sisters or brothers.

    This is the best way to go.
    I can't bear meaningless,
    poetic acrobat shows!

    I don't live swinging on stars,
    Nor penning words used only
    by creatures on Mars.

    I do share my heart, you will 
    never find it in a Thesaurus.
    Just directness, simplicity, from
    me.....for all of us!
