What Did I Do?
What did I do to make you leave? What did I do to make you fall out of love with me? What
did I do to make you walk out my door? What did I do to make you not care for me
anymore? What did I do for you to treat me this way? What do I do that makes you say all
the mean things that you always say? What did I do to make you be so rude to me today on
the telephone? My heart is breaking, baby would you please just come home? What did I do
to make you believe all those lies that your friends told you? Why do you still believe that I
was being untrue? You said at first that you didn’t believe those lies, you told me that you
would always take my side. What did I do to make you hurt me so bad? Since you’ve been
gone, I’ve been so very sad. I hope that one day soon you will realize how much I really
loved you, all I wish you could tell me, is what did I really do?*
