What Caused This Madness

What caused him to create this madness?
No one will ever know.
Why is the only question that will never be answered.
The pain that was caused that night still aches inside me.
What caused him to create this madness?

Why did he have to take my best friend away?
What made him point the barrel at her and his family?
He will never know what kind of pain he has caused.
What caused him to create this madness?

He took two lives that night.
He has no remorse for the things he did,
He simply chuckles when we mention his family.
He has created the worst nightmare possible.
What caused him to create this madness?

I can't say that I know what you or your family is going through but this must have been a terrible experience. You have chosen a topic of domestic violence that needs to be out there. People need to be educated about this so that more can be done to stop this horrible abuse. Keep the magical pen flowing. Sara
