What Can I Give
What can I give when I am broke
To he whose words inspired?
For the little ember that he stoked
I’d give him all my fire
What can I give when I am poor
To he who set me free?
For each and every open door
I’d give an endless sea
What can I give when I have nil
To he who left too soon?
For knowing that he’s with me still
I’d give the very moon
What can I give of any worth
To he who gave me love?
For all the riches on this earth
Could never be enough.
