What a Tangled Web I Weaved
in my final minutes of freedom i learned what forgiveness was
i got down on my knees and prayed to God to please give me another chance
the sound of metal clinging locking both of my wrists
shackled on my ankles taking my last breathe of fresh air
i knew it was over meaning the life i once knew
but was it so bad since that i out grew
i lived my life my way since i was a child
obeying noones orders and living just wild
what a mess that was created in everything i did
leaving a trail of destruction along the way
in my older years i began banging hard
leaving my conscience scarred
the final blow came one night when i was really high
i stole some money from a place that i once had access to
i turned myself in the next morning hoping it would all go away
but the only thing that happened was i was there to stay
my sentence was five to fifteen with no early release
i dropped to my knees and begged God please
"if you help me through this i swear ill change my life"
knowing i had to face my demons and how i lived trife
over time it all worked out and i got released
without having to snitch or sell my soul to the devil
its a hard knock life but im glad i went through it
im here for a reason maybe to save you!
