What am I doing here tonight?
In this space in this time
Am I part of the Phoenix’s flight?
In this place in this rhyme
What am I learning here tonight?
In my being in my soul
Am I part of an inner light?
In my seeing in my role
What am I missing here tonight?
In this thought in this mind
Am I part of something right?
In this rot in this bind
What am I hoping here tonight?
In my dream in my life
Am I part of something trite?
In my scream in my strife
What am I thinking here tonight?
In my brain in my heart
Am I part of something bright?
