Weve Met
I met a pretty red head
I wonder is shes dead yet
It wouldn't surprise me if she is because we haven't met yet
I gave her my scarf
A pretty leaf color
I wonder if shes shown it to her mother
I could see it now, her twirling in a dress
Her red hair flowing, no reason to stress
She'd look so beautiful
In her pretty leaf colored dress
Her momma would say
"who you tryin' to impress?"
And id smile if i heard it because shes not dead yet
And i wouldn't be surprised not one bit because we haven't met yet
I'm still holding her scarf, im sure shes chilly
I wonder if people talk about the scarf that isn't there
Everything goes and everything flows with that beautiful mane
She'll smile as she passes me by and i smile back but i want to cry
Because her eyes are black like the cold midnight sky
I wonder if shell look at the stars tonight
She probably wont because shes not dead yet
And it wouldnt surprise me not one bit
Because we haven't met yet
