we've gone through some stuff this week
that had us down on our knees
the enemy's been working overtime
to disrupt our inner peace
but God's been on duty
every single day
deflecting demonic arrows
coming our way
He's taken up every yoke
He's clipped every chain
Every shackle He has broke
In His son Jesus's name
we've gone through some stuff this week
that had knocked us down
the enemy's been doing its best
to drive us into the ground
but God has given us
the strength to prevail
to help us deal with our current hell
He's taken up every yoke
He's clipped every chain
every shackle He has broke
In His son Jesus's name
yes, life is a struggle
challenges constantly arise
we just need to keep our eyes on the heavenly prize
of God, the Creator of all life
Who will protect us from any and all strife
He's taken up every yoke
He's clipped every chain
every shackle He has broke
In his son Jesus's name.
God's given us a renewal of hope
and the resources to now cope
for through Him we've been rectified
and because of Him now fortified
He's taken up every yoke
He's clipped every chain
every shackle He has broke
in His son Jesus's name
no longer are we confined
by the challenges of life
we're now able
to have a freedom in Christ
Yes the adversary's been on patrol
But we know God's still in control
He's taken up every yoke
He's clipped every chain
Every shackle He has broke
In His son Jesus's name
We've gone through some stuff this week
yet we are still here
striving and thriving
In the spirit of heavenly care
He's taken up all of our yolks
He's clipped all of our chains
Every shackle binding us.
He has broke
In His son Jesus's name
