Well Well Well

Deep within the well I fell
Then my body began to swell
The well was dry that I fell in
Did this happen because of sin

I think not I am not bad
If I was that would be sad
Just how long will rescue take
I want out for heavens sake

Here they come I hear some sound
And the lights are flashing all around
The rope comes down beside my head
“Hey are you alive or dead”

It’s what I hear from up above
That makes me feel a parents love
They wrap me up and pull me out
With pain like this all I do is pout

I am all healed from my bad injuries
Living my life without any worries
Lucky to be alive and free
Never go near wells that I see

I missed reading so many extremely outstanding poems yesterday. I hope to get them read today. Thank you for sharing your writing with us John. Love, Carol

I agree with John but I think it is something else. Deeper like in the Bible where he was in the mirey pit and was pulled up into solid ground. Keep writing. Very interesting. Sara
