Well Kept

Precious Lord hold my hand
Give me strength and help me stand
I am doing the best that I can
To overcome the obstacles that are at hand
People are watching, hoping to see me fail
But with You, Father, I shall prevail
I refuse to give up, I must press on
With all my strength, every muscle and every bone
I cannot sleep, I will not rest
Until I know I have passed the test
My problems are many, my troubles are great
But I must be strong, I must carry the weight
At night I weep, please hear my cry
And send Your angels from the heavens beyond the sky
Some people tell me I should give up
Others say I have bad luck
But with You there is no such thing
Because You are God Almighty, The Everlasting King
No matter how hard it is, no matter what I may go through
I am going to stand fast and wait on You
A man's heart plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps
I place my trust in You, O Lord, because in You I am well kept
