Well I Tried Fighting War

Well I tried fighting War:
I killed and 'twas done;
I went-on to fight myself--
I failed, but finally won...
Now I tell all seeking Joy
To settle dear-life's score:
Lest you be lingering-about--
Should you find no more...

Well, I tried living sound:
I was pushed and scratched and tried;
I went on to wage another War,
I fought till all Hope died...
Now I lie free here--
Free as never before
In sound Peace and Happiness:
Life and I--We've settled score...
