Welcoming a New Dawn
When there’s darkness all around you
And your own thoughts your worst foe
Hold onto what’s right and true
Be still, breathe and you will know.
You’ll feel there is no point going on
But you mustn’t let the darkness win
Unseen helpers keep you strong
Showing you the light within.
You’re living in constant fight or flight
And your heart asunder is torn
Only when we have known the darkest night
Can we truly welcome a new dawn.
