welcome to my life
look to the left look to the right
see the struggle see the strife
see broken fences and torn down signs
see poverty, hate and crime
see the people see their eyes
feel their resolve, feel their pride
dragging feet as they live their lives
waiting for a better time
beaten thrown torn apart
hopeless from the very start
save them from their bleeding hearts
struggle. run. sleep. repeat
