Welcome May

May is April's enemy,
May brings us beautiful flowers,
April is not so nice,
Since her forte is showers.

Lush green lawns appear in May,
April storms just seem to stay,
May trees leaf and fill the sky,
April trees still bare and dry.

The air in May is sweet with perfume,
Of lilacs, tulips, and daffodils too.
Not many flowers in April are found,
except for crocuses low on the ground.

May is our intro to better days,
Warmer, prettier and longer sunshine laze,
April's wet and cooler days,
Bring on low spirits from those days of gray.

A fine penned piece Judith, really nice rhyme and flow. You bring the contrasts of April and May true to light, excellently penned. Keep on it, Gordon
