Welcome Home

Good bye for now
I’m sorry you can’t stay
I know that it is hard here
So you had to go away

Even though you may get lost
I’m confident you’ll find
You’ll want to turn around
Because you left me behind

You can give up or give in
Surrendering your soul
Feeling like you should rebel
To prove you’re in control

If you’ve gone so far
You think I’ll disappear
Remember who you are
And know that I am near

I hope next time I see you
You stay longer than the last
But I will never judge you
For learning from your past

So get found as you wander
Lose me if you need to
Doubt everything about me
To learn I’ll never leave you

When we are apart
You are not alone
I am the real you
And you’re always welcome home
