Welcome Halloween

Take a look around you,
In places far and near;
The season's soon upon us,
That spooky time of year!

The shops on every corner,
Display their festive gear;
"Trick or treat!" Trick or treat!"
Such chanting we will hear!

Witches, ghosts, and ghouls,
Masquerade beneath the moon;
Autumn wreaks a wicked bite,
Prepare to meet thy doom!

Jack-o'-lanterns' wicked grins,
Invade the narrow walk;
Darkness weaves an eerie gloom,
Night creatures make their stalk!

Welcome Halloween!
That creepy time of year;
A haunting stills a moonlit night,
What have we to fear?!
