Sitting on a tree limb this dark night,

in silhouette there is a cat of black

before a full and orange moon. No fright

have I. She's there to welcome Halloween Eve back.

Black cats always seem so mysterious. Love the image you created of the cat and the photo you chose too. Best wishes in the contest! Hugs, Carolyn

Andrea, Very nice a fright-less write. I've seen a lot of moonlit cats. Seems many found inspiration in this picture two. -Richard

Written just as it is, love the poem,,,,,Spent 19 hours non-stop, london uk to perth aus. Made an attempt to count comments on my poems, didn't finish, but you were so far ahead, followed by Carolyn Devonshire, hard to explain, but i cannot thank you enough, for the encouragement, and the positivity.

In answer to your question, I wrote my poem for a talented family member who is a musician. He deals with Anxiety and depression. Sadly he self medicates.
