Weight of the World

So if you want just give me the weight of your world,
I’ll carry it on my back.
For there’s nothing I won’t do for you,
I’d refuse no task.
Just reach out and take my hand,
Won’t you take a chance on me?
For I would hurt you none at all,
Have a look within and you will see.
I look upon the moon above me,
Surrounded by the stars.
Like the sparkle I see in your eyes,
With a world that can be ours.
In the end it’s not all up to me,
It’s also up to you to take the chance.
To discover and see if it’s worth it all,
To see if your heart will dance.

Look way down if you need to,
Can you say anything at all?
I’ll be right here waiting,
To see if time builds or breaks down walls.
You may see I’m not worried about anything,
No nothing that you might say.
The closing of one door is the opening to another,
I would never leave you anyway.
I can feel the wind cool upon me,
It brings flooded thoughts into my mind.
Sometimes that leaves me feeling so exposed,
Seldom is it kind.
Can you throw me a thread of life line?
To pull me away from so many of these thoughts.
I’ve tried to make things easy,
For love it can’t be taught.

I've always went and followed my heart,
Sometimes just to see where it might land.
There were times I felt like the stray dog,
Other times I stayed the man.
So just know I could abandon what surrounds me,
To help whenever you’re in need.
It’s always worked that one way in my mind,
Like the planting of a seed.
There’s no tragedy in the words you may say,
I’ll not leave, no I’d not go.
For my heart will stay true towards you,
Never would it grow cold.
