Weight of Our Lesson's

"Oh what a day,
Nothing seemed to go my way

A challenge from the moment I got up,
As if all my problems builtup

And then the dam gave way,
Like my own personal D-day

I know God wants to teach me lessons,
But all in one session?!

Maybe it was to prove a point,
And imagine hell, the Devils joint

If he did it certainly worked,
For I spent most of the day irked

Complete with frustration and disappointment,
As nothing but flies in my ointment

So I take a deep breath,
I can manage this

And get back on track,
To continue my attack

For my goal is still there,
My set backs only need a prayer

As it is only one day in a lifetime,
And I have so many more mountains to climb

So be thankful for today,
As it was one more than yesterday

For God has his plan,
And with his help I can

Get past the issues of today,
And start tomorrow in a brand new way
