Weeping Willow
Weeping Willow willow tree,
your graceful branches are all I see.
The dantyest of leaves swaying in the breeze,
the beauty of your fullness stands out from other trees.
As I sit under your bountiful shade,
greatful for your structure the lord has made.
The perfect little place for a mid summer's nap,
as I close my eyes and tip the brim of my hat.
Your home resides in a meadow of butterflies and bees,
like the heart of nature you hold the keys.
Birds use your branches to make nests for their little ones,
while squirrels use you for a playhouse, somewhere to run.
The afternoon sun kisses your leaves so sweet,
this is the place where lovers sometimes meet.
The scene and essence of your bark is pleasant to the eyes,
the very core of your beauty, this is where it lies.
