Weeping Willow

I won't climb
the branches of self pity
I won't swing
from the weeds trying to find my kitty
I won't cling to the trunk
with tears in my eyes
I won't hide under the roots
telling myself lies

I am not completely sunk
I don't want to chop down the noble timber
But I need the lumber to build
My boat
So I can sail away
And find my fortune
My future
Instead of swaying in the wind

A different write. Interesting. Thanks for the input on my poem Autumn's Arrival, albeit not "perfect".
