Wednesday Morning

She sat alone with paints beside her chair, a canvas filled with sunshine at her side. She gazed around the scene set en plein air, then chose a brush to paint the rising tide. The blues and greens were blended carefully to capture all the shadows and the light on water swirling in the crystal sea with seabirds diving in to grab a bite. The vista on the canvas taking shape with sky and sea, the morning light was best. A misty fog along the rocky cape meant clouds were rolling in from north, northwest. She rushed to add a final touch of tan then sprinted just before the rain began.
