Weather Vane

                cock crows
                   light grows

                sun’s out
                   joy sprouts

                 folks smile
                   … meanwhile

                 rains dropped
                    joy’s sopped

Rains dropped joy sprouts in the hot and dry region where we live. Suns out we pout! The good ole Southwest, we could fry an egg on the patio in our wonderful summer sunshine. My son did just that when he was around 10 years old, he just wanted to see if it was true!

Hey, I saw an egg fry on a Chicago sidewalk about 40 years ago, even before 'climate change.' ~ Short-order Cook
