A wry irony permeates this wondrous poem. Splendid words chosen so image laden and inventive, Howard

our flowers and shrubs are also confused...even our grass thinks that winter is over. Well penned, hugs, Sara B

Thank you, Sara B. The star magnolia has a bloom on it and it is freezing here at night now so I am sure that bloom is frozen. My white camelia is loaded with blooms and of course they will all turn brown and fall off but they were beautiful for the short time. There are some more buds but there won't be that many any more this season. Thank you for the visit. Sara K

The temperature is supposed to drop all day here where I live and the thermometer read in the twenties in the morning. I can feel the change coming, Victor, and it is going to be rough. Thanks for the New Year's greeting and I hope this New Year will be awesome for you. Sara K

I know, Tom. Spring feels like at the moment would be the solution to all our problems but sometimes spring brings problems of its own. Thank you for dropping by. Sara K

This is a nice soothing poem for winter, does tend to remind me of soft little birds frolicking in the spring. One has to remember that it's for the birds.

Thank you, Ken. I was wondering if the Doves were so confused that they were seeking out a mate to start a nest but surely not. Sara K
