Wearing Off

As they kissed, she pulled back, reminding him that staying together as a couple had turned her to something that could easily wear off. Their house's blissful aura was fading; time had ceased in their wall clock; they didn't share socks in winter nights, anymore..... He had no words to express, as words disintegrated bitterly into his vocal cords. Date: 05/03/2017

i had to seek this one out because it was an entry in my contest which i liked very much, and the only reasons it didn't place was the line about socks, which threw me out of the poem, and also the form was wrong...apart from that i liked it - i like your writing in general
