Wear It On My Sleeve

I wear my heart on sleeve
So what I cherish love hate forsake
Is engraved on my face
Today is no different so how can I be free
From the prism of my emotions
The book is open knowledge I'm still soaking what takes time to create
Is never easily broken
You can quote me on my past
But I'm still living in the present
My adversaries talk behind my back
So it's evident they respect my presence
And I appreciate the gesture
You should appreciate the lecture
I'm just stating the obvious
Like how the government turned
House *****'s in lobbyists
So I throw up the fist
So there's no question what I'm bout
What you put in must come out
Some say I have no filter
I say that right there was & is the #1 problem our people stepped back man
While the Europeans raped & robbed em
So far me to stop it means
For me to comply and become europeanized looks like I drew away from the topic
So allow me to further elaborate
Some confuse what I speak so profoundly on as harbored up hate when
This is clearly not the case
The majority of people who are angry
It's for a reason not a season
So ask questions don't assume
The fumes in the fire will be your guide

I wear my heart on my sleeve
Because I can't help it
But I wouldn't have it any other way
Even when I say nothing
My Face displays exactly
What words can't say
The saying is people fear
What they can't or don't understand
Understand me...
And to understand me is to know me
To know me is to love me
And to love me is to know that
The feeling is mutual
