We Will Say Hello

Someday I will see a figure
Walking down the street

You will turn
And I will see your face
A face I know only too well

I will look deep into your eyes
And see pieces of myself within
Pieces that you
Have taken away
That no longer fit

Somewhere deep within my soul
My heart will make a saddening sound
For the one who I have tried to forget
The one who I have never let go

You will smile and I will smile
We will say hello
Then go our separate ways

And you will never know
Or ever see me… crying
