We Will Get Our - Hyphen
" We Will Get Our - Hyphen "
Between our day of birth
and our last day on this earth
is a line
that's short and overlooked!
These dates are meant to represent
the time that one has spent
in living life
and all they undertook!
Now though this line is short,
I do want to exhort,
it is much longer
than it does appear!
It is centered in between
these two dates,
as it is seen
to do two things-
acknowledge and revere!
Some think it's just a dash
and look past it,
in a flash,
without realizing
what it really means!
It's not there to separate
one another -
these two dates
for with such
a simple view
it does demean!
On our first day
this life we entered,
our date of birth,
was centered
our journey got it's blessing
from the start!
The second date's not added
'til some of life's years
have been padded,
then one day
it is time,
this life,
to depart!
It does celebrate a life
that knew some joys,
that knew some strife!
It is quite symbolic
in it's brief state!
I'm sure
you will agree
that this short line
that you see
will from now on
have new meaning
you'll equate!
You see,
this reality
is destined
for you and me!
It's not an "If"....
It truly is a "When!"
When it's our time,
to leave
to go to Heaven,
"DO BELIEVE",
between our dates-
"We Will Get Our - Hyphen!"
