We Were Humans

When we were humans we were so pure
We find the answers and make the cure
Back then we had the faith and trust for sure
We had no sorrow and no wars any more
Makes me think what we are living for
Now that we are demons seeking nothing but war
We lost safety and to make it to the shore
We are sinners and our acts are sinful to the core

What made us change ? what gave us the seed ?
The seed of evil that could only lead
Lead us to our destruction, killing the need
The need for one to be a human be
With those red eyes what can you see ?
What else but envy, hate and worthless feel ?
It makes me think how to appeal
The heart and soul that should seal
Seal darkness and tempt to heal
The wounds inside and the scars of fear
Giving me a reason to draw a tear
Over the cheek of who lost, over the ears that hear
The truth is close, it's the only thing our hearts wear
